A great place to start, especially for students.

Altar Serving is one of the most popular and accessible ways to get involved. Students from our Queen of the Rosary School and Religious Education program are regularly trained and quickly become confident serving at the altar. Altar Servers gain a deeper understanding of the Mass, make friends, and learn valuable leadership skills.

We provide hands-on training and easy-to-follow materials so servers feel prepared and comfortable.

Pathway Opportunity: Servers can grow into Senior Servers, helping train others, and eventually into Sacristans, leading teams and preparing for Mass.

Help bring God’s Word to life.

Lectors proclaim Scripture at Mass, an important and meaningful role in our liturgy.

We especially encourage teens (8th grade and high school) to consider this ministry.

• Adults complete Archdiocesan Proclaiming the Word training
• Teens are trained in-house by experienced lectors and our clergy

If you’re looking for a meaningful, reverent way to serve, this is a beautiful opportunity. This ministry is especially needed as we work toward offering Communion under both species at all Sunday Masses.

Behind the scenes, everything flows through you.

Sacristans prepare the altar, vessels, and environment for Mass and help ensure everything runs smoothly. Currently Sacristan is an adult role, but we are building a future pathway: Altar Server → Senior Server → Sacristan

Help decorate our churches throughout the liturgical seasons and learn how our environment reflects the rhythms of the Church year. If you can’t help year round, additional hands are always appreciated during the busiest times of the year at Christmas and Holy Week.

Music has a unique way of opening hearts to God. Whether you love to sing, play an instrument, or simply feel called to help others pray, there’s a place for you in the Music Ministries at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament.

Cantors, Instrumentalists & Accompanists

Experienced musicians are invited to help lead sung prayer at Sunday Masses, Holy Days, weddings, funerals, and other special liturgies. Please contact our Director of Music, Mr. Paul Van Lysebettens, to discover more about these opportunities.

Kids’ Choir (Grades 2–8)

A fun and faith-filled way for children to grow in confidence, develop their musical gifts, and help lead our parish in prayer.

• Rehearses Wednesdays, 3:00–4:00pm (children may arrive beginning at 2:40pm)
• Sings at select Masses and special liturgies throughout the year

Share your love of music while helping lead our parish in sung prayer throughout the Church year.

• Rehearses Thursdays at 7:00pm
• Additional sectional rehearsals on select Tuesdays during Advent and Lent
• Sings at select parish liturgies, including:
  • A Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols
  • Christmas Eve Midnight Mass
  • Easter Vigil
  • The Seven Last Words of Christ

Handbell Choir

Experience the unique beauty of worship through handbells while serving alongside fellow musicians.

• Rehearses Wednesdays at 7:00pm
• Rings at select 10:30am Masses and major liturgies, including Christmas and Easter
