Waves of Change

Update!

We’re thrilled to announce that our Lenten Almsgiving Project—Waves of Change Clean Water for Cameroon—has not only met but surpassed its goal! Thanks to your extraordinary generosity, Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish has raised enough funds to construct not just one, but two wells, bringing clean water to even more communities in need. Additionally, we’ll be able to set aside a portion of the donations for ongoing maintenance, ensuring sustainable access to clean water for years to come. Our support will truly make a tangible difference in the lives of countless individuals, and we’re incredibly grateful for your commitment to this vital cause. Thank you for being a part of this transformative journey towards a healthier, more hopeful world.

Together, Let’s Make Waves of Change!

“And whoever gives only a cup of cold water to one of these little ones to drink because he is a disciple—amen, I say to you, he will surely not lose his reward.” (Matthew 10:42)

Let’s make this Lent a season of transformation, where every drop symbolizes hope and opportunity. Join Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish in our Lenten Almsgiving Project—Waves of Change. Our generosity can create a ripple effect, reaching far beyond our borders as we seek to raise $8,500 to bring clean water to Nkoabang, Yaoundé, Cameroon. This project is not just about providing water; it’s about unlocking hope, transforming lives, and creating sustainable change. Together, we can make a lasting impact on a community in need.

The Need: Nkoabang faces daily challenges due to the absence of clean water. Families walk miles each day, compromising health, education and overall well-being. Our goal is to address this critical need by contracting Hydrodrilling Company to construct a borehole equipped with a human-powered pump, ensuring a reliable and efficient source of clean water for the entire community.

Why Waves of Change Matters:

  • Transformative Impact: Our contribution directly impacts lives, providing a foundation for health, education and prosperity.
  • Sustainability: The borehole and human-powered pump ensure a long-term, self-sustaining solution for the community.
  • Community Connection: Did you know? Our Associate Pastor, Fr. Louis, hails from Cameroon, making this project a personal and heartfelt initiative for our parish.
