Monday, March 14, 2022 – Wednesday, March 16, 2022
Each year the Parish Lenten Mission provides an opportunity for Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament to come together over three nights and deepen or reawaken our faith. This year, the Mission will take us on a deep dive into our faith by providing witness, connecting with others and experiencing the sacraments.
Monday, March 14, 2022, 7-9pm: Faith in Action, God in Motion. The entire Bible is filled with examples of men and women who took active steps of faith. Moses, Joshua, David, Mary, and the Apostles, all trusted in God and their lives became richer and more abundant. Tonight, we will explore some of those stories while reflecting on our own personal faith journeys. Night 1 features a Ministry Fair where you will learn more about how to get involved here at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament.
What steps of faith do you need to take to gain an extraordinary life?
Tuesday, March 15, 2022, 7-8:30pm: Receiving God’s Grace Through Sacraments. On night one, we will cover the concept of “Faith in Action, God in Motion.” Each Catholic Sacrament is a step of faith. Spiritual growth isn’t always learning something new; sometimes it's remembering something old. Night 2 features the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
How is sin preventing me from growing closer to God?
Wednesday, March 16, 7-9pm: God’s Call for Us. Faith in Action, God in Motion...Jesus turned water into _______. The guests asked for wine and Jesus said get water. The Sacraments...focused on Reconciliation. You can’t catch the truth, when holding on to the trash. Spiritual growth isn’t always learning something new; sometimes it's remembering something old. Night 3 includes Adoration and ties everything together by showing us God's vision for our future...God Works for the Good!
Why should I give of myself? Why should I give of my faith?
The Mission will be led by parishioner, educator, author and speaker, Joe Bush.
