Art & Environment Ministry decorates the church for liturgical seasons to enhance worship

Art & Environment ministers plan and implement an environment for our worship space, centered on the liturgical seasons of the Church, to enhance the liturgy. All elements should be clean, appropriate, authentic, beautiful and accessible and work together to enhance worship.

The Art & Environment coordinators work with the office to order flowers and plants and purchase supplies required for decorating.
The morning of Holy Saturday, the church is closed for Easter decorating. All decorations must be in place and the church clean and ready by Noon for Blessing of the Food Baskets.
The morning of Christmas Eve, the church is closed for Christmas decorating. All decorations must be in place and the church clean and ready by 3pm so that the church may be opened for evening Christmas Eve Mass.
To prepare for anniversaries and other special occasions, the Art & Environment team will come in after hours to place or update decor so as not to interfere with the schedule of the church.
While we may be separated physically this year during Lent and at Easter, enjoy these memories from last year’s Lenten, Holy Week and Easter activities.
