The Archdiocese Council of Catholic Women Vicariate 1 welcome your attendance at the celebration of the "Golden Rose" featuring Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament's Golden Rose Award winner, Samantha Schlichtmann. Auxiliary Bishop Most Reverend Jeffrey Grob will celebrate the 3:00 p.m. mass on Sunday, February 6 honoring all Golden Rose recipients of Vicariate 1.
Each year, the Golden Rose Award recognizes young women of faith in grades 9-12 who have made a significant contribution to their parish and community in service and leadership.
This year, Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament is proud to announce Samantha Schlichtmann as our Golden Rose recipient. Samantha is a junior at Conant High School where she is active in sports and activities and a member of National Honor society. She also volunteers at the Elk Grove Village Public Library and has an active faith life here at OLBS. She regularly attends Mass with her parents and is a dedicated Altar Server. You may have seen her at Christmas Midnight Mass. Samantha is also an active member of our Youth Ministry, helping at Alexian Village, Feed My Starving Children, PADS Suppers and many of our Season of Giving Activities including WINGS, Christmas Elves and Christmas Angels.
